Apprenticeships & Traineeships
What is an Apprenticeship?
An Apprenticeship is a work-based training programme that is designed to help you foster emerging talent in your business; whether they are new employees or people already in your business.
Apprentices hold real jobs in your business, and spend the majority of their time carrying out mainstream duties. They build their skills and competence through a combination of learning activities, including nationally recognised qualifications; both on and off the job.
What is a Traineeship?
Traineeships are a relatively new Government initiative to help unemployed young people develop the skills they need to find, stay, and progress in work. They consist of formal training and a substantial work experience placement.
What Apprenticeship / Traineeship programmes can I procure?
You can procure any Apprenticeship or Traineeship programme via the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) L&D Framework including:
- Specialist and Higher Apprenticeships and NVQs
- Accredited emerging talent programmes
- Progression and emerging leader programmes
